Iran movie ‘The Forth Child’ shot in Africa

‘The Forth Child’ is one of daring Iranian movies shot in Africa.

‘The Forth Child’ directed by Vahid Moussaian is one of daring Iranian movies that was partly set in the African continent.

‘The Fourth Child’, made in 2013, has hit a number of movie theaters in the African continent so far.

Produced by Iran’s Farabi Cinema Foundation (FCF), the movie represents misery of famine and war in a bordering region in Somalia and Kenya.

The movie narrates the story of three people traveling to Somalia. The first person is a narrator at the beginning and the end of the film who is a photographer played by Iranian actress Mahtab Keramati. The second character is a middle-aged man who has filed for bankruptcy and plans to travel down Somalia. The third is a member of Iran's Red Crescent Society who tries to help people in the African country.

A collection of photos on ‘The Fourth Child’ has gone on display during an exhibition held in Tehran.

The movie has been awarded in a number of cinematic events, including the award of best female actress of the 8th edition of Batumi festival, Georgia and the prize of best feature movie of Baghdad Film Festival, Iraq.
